The Association of Landlords in Elere, Apata Ibadan, Oyo state has appealed to the Oyo State government on the completion of road project in their community.
The landlords in a statement jointly issued on Wednesday, 5th of March, 2025, decried the deplorable state of the route linking Apata to Elere and Oloko areas.
The landlords while lamenting, noted that the Elere and Oloko road which was supposed to be rehabilitated with the Apata road had long been abandoned by Ido local government administrative.
A community resident who craved anonymity told REPUBLICAN NIGERIA that “the Elere to Oloko road was abandoned when the government repaired the Apata road, we thought it will be rehabilitated to Oloko some years back but unfortunately the construction ending at Olupoyi side.
Another resident said “the road is always very bad during raining season, it disfigured the Apata road, the community cannot do this, we need the support of local government.
“with the construction of Akala express, this Elere side also need to be tarred to bring in massive development too, because as you know when there is good road we will start having more people and factories here, factories that can even provide employment and boost the community economic.
The communities equally called on governor Seyi to help in facilitating the completion of the road for easy transportation.
